El Beso (the kiss) is a large sculpture in the 'Parque del Amor' (Love Park) by the Pacific Ocean in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. The atmosphere was kitschy but in all the ways I love. The food was very good and the size of the entrees can easily become two meals or perfect to share. The service was very good as well. We sat outside and our server was very friendly and funny. Kept us laughing and kept our drinks full. It did take awhile at the end to get the check and such because our server seemed to get busy but it did not brother me as much because we were having such a good time. If you love Mexican food, this is the place for you. Food 3. Margs 5 Service depends on the day and server Chip guy on his game 5 stars Come for the margs , leave for the food . I like the bar area and they have a huge selection of margaritas . Staff is generally pretty nice. I'm right down the middle on this one . It's not bad it's not great . We ordered table side Guac and it was clearly sitting out for a couple hours already . Didn't taste the best . Defiantly not freshly made . Salsa is legit : ) I like the chips as well . You can buy a bag of chips to take home if you so desire . I have not been here in about a year . They have a new menu . I feel like their prices have gone way up. Combination fajitas for $2. I ended up getting chicken fajitas for $1. I feel is still pricey . It does come with rice and beans . Cheaper combination platters are available you can choose from , but they only give you about six combination options . If you want different combos I suggest doing it a la carte. They have a big taco selection as well ! Of coarse they have all the classic Mexican entrees available . There's a section in the restaurant that looks sort of like a bakery. You can't go up and just order from it . Our server didn't come back after we paid the check so it was kind of a ordeal to try to get some cake to take home . People kept sending us to other people to order and pay . All we wanted to do was buy some cake con leche .. Maybe the diet gods were secretly trying to help my waistline .. In the end we got it purchased up front by the hostess after she tried to send us back to our server again lolit was OK. The wife liked the chips. There are other Mexican places I would rather go to that are less crowded and closer to home. I don't want to totally bad mouth them or anything but it just wasn't my scene man. I am sorry. It isn't like the food was horrible. It was just so loud and crowded. They did lose our ticket so it did take a while for our food to come. Would we go back? But it is out of our way. I find this place hit or miss.. My steak tacos were plentiful and my girl had a steak torta. And our food came out fast. About 8/1. 0 minutes tops and the place was kinda full. I'll definitely be going again. Actually taking something to work for lunch today. I've been to El Beso so many times, the cumulative amount of tacos I've consumed should be enough to feed a large family (classy, I know). El Beso is the sister restaurant of El Fuego, and like El Fuego, they serve Tex- Mex fare. The steak tacos are delicious. The quality of the meat is fairly high, especially for the price, and is well- seasoned so no sauce necessary. The chicken tacos are good, as well; moist with a decent flavor, but I usually drizzle a little hot sauce to bring out its full potential. As for the chorizo, I find it to be very salty, but the lettuce and tomatoes help cut out some of the sodium. The rice and the beans are pretty good, too. They've never been over- salted so it definitely adds to my overall meal. The portions are astronomical, so expect leftovers for days. I usually order the Pi. They put in a generous amount of Barcardi so I'm always satisfied after one (then again I am a light- weight). They insert a slice of pineapple on the rim for decoration, but I eat it anyways because it's always ripe. What surprises me most about El Beso is the service. I've honestly had some of the nicest servers here. They'll consistently refill my water, ask if I want another Pi. Futhermore, they're great about checking up on you, and do so in a way that's genuinely nice. They all deserve shiny gold stars. In order to be completely fair with my review, I had to take into consideration the location El Beso is in and, excluding a couple places here and there, it's one of the only restaurants in the area that's not a mega- chain. If you go down 7. I mean. The ambiance is loud and proud. There's nothing subtle about the decor, which kind of adds to their charm. They definitely follow the . In addition, it's impossible to miss this place, since the outside is a hodgepodge of color, pattern and lights. For what it is, El Beso is a pretty swell place. I wouldn't go out of your way to dine here, but if you're in Greenfield with an empty belly and in the mood for some adult smoothies, give El Beso a go. Got the shredded pork enchiladas mole and it was stuffed to the max full of meat. A good balance between the cheese & meat. Located in the parking lot of a strip mall so parking is very easy. The food is good, atmosphere fun, the environment clean, and the service is friendly and excellent! It is a great place to go with family, friends and coworkers! I went here with a friend thats been here before and had their Beso shrimp tacos. It's simply topped with onion and cilantro but they were amazing. Paired with a margarita, this meal was phenomenal. Definitely looking to go back. I have been to El Beso several times now, and I have always had a good experience here. The restaurant is very colorful and spacious, and they also have a nice patio area outside for the summer months. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The food is very good. The standard tacos, burritos, and enchiladas are offered here. However, they also offer burgers and chicken sandwiches, which I think is very nice of them to do, for those who may not care for Mexican food. On my last visit, I had the seafood enchilada, which contains sauteed mahi mahi and shrimp and is topped with their red sauce. The sauce has a little bite to it, but is a very nice addition to the enchilada. El Beso has amazing margaritas. I have stopped here after work with co- workers in the past for them. They have their happy hour every day from 2: 3. The happy hour specials are $3 house margaritas, 1/2 off all beers, and $3. They also have $6 skinny cocktails and $1 off all glasses of wine during happy hour. After writing this review, I now have a craving for El Beso. I think I'll need to plan another trip very soon. Good but not great. Service was ok, but not great. It took a long time to get my check. I asked for corn tortillas for my tacos and got flour tortillas. Food was ok, but nothing special. They came with pineapple salsa, but I couldn't really taste the pineapple. The tacos were over filled and difficult to eat without making a mess. The rice was plated overlapping the tortillas, which made them wet and gooey on the edges. Everything, including the tortilla chips, was over salted. Pure garbage in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Chips and salsa will highlight any dining experience here. The chicken nachos are good but I've tried 3 different times to try to find something positive about the place but I'm always left thinking ! It's about the only place in town that does justice for Mexican food. Stay away from el beso.. I came here shortly after it opened. The decor is beautiful and the food was good, but geez Louise was it loud. I should not have had to yell across the table so that my dining companions could hear me. Ditto the Mariachi band. They were good, but it was as if they had mini amps on them somewhere! If I come here again, I think I'll try sitting outdoors. This is a good Tex Mex place. If your looking for authentic Mexican food, you won't find it here. They do a really good job at brining you fresh Tex mex. I feel like the prices are kinda high, but you get what you pay for here, portions are pretty big. The atmosphere is festive but the food was just okay. Great food, great service, expansive and fresh menu, large outdoor patio - what's not to love? Well, perhaps the busy weekend crowds! If you arrive after 5pm, be prepared to wait. However, despite the long waiting list, the wait moves quickly because the restaurant has tons of seating. Some of my favorites include the Steak Fajitas (flavorful, tender streak), Queso Fundido with torillas (creamy, cheesey with a bit of a space), the beef Chimichanga (MASSIVE! Get the ala carte size instead unless you want some leftovers) and the unlimited chips & salsa. The service was okay. Our food was very bland. Margaritas we not very strong. Also, they don't serve queso as an appetizer. We should've gone to chick fil a we would've had better food and better service. It's amazing to me that this place could get over a 1 star. Pre packaged chips, below average watered down salsa, margarita tasted like shoe polish. Hey but the service is good. I appreciated the vegetarian options, specifically labeled as vegetarian options. I ordered the enchiladas, which were okay but too drenched in cheese. Good chips and salsa, decent service. The problem is the NOISE level. I couldn't hear you, my ear drums have been blown out. This is a popular restaurant in an area lacking non- chain options. They must serve several thousand people on weekend nights. This place is huge, and it's packed. I would definitely not bring anyone with hearing issues here, and definitely do not bring someone with crowd anxiety. I suppose I am being too hard here because there is likely little this restaurant can do to fix the noise and crowd issues, they are simply in high demand. Which does indicate they are doing something right.
